Keeping The Dream Alive

T.Will Sports Classic

Team competing in the annual Dream Classic, presented by T.WILL Sports

When we delivered the first Dream Classic 6 years ago, we knew what we wanted to accomplish with the event. Six years later, we can reflect on the growth and community impact it has had in our city. T. Will Sports and The Office of Black Student Achievement collaborate to provide thousands of dollars in scholarships for scholars in Minneapolis Public Schools.

The social impact of this event goes far beyond the basketball court and into contributing to building first-generation college students from a city and district from which both Dr. Walker and I graduated. We Bring the community together on a day of service because we know that sports allow us to blur color and social lines on this platform we created.

Special thanks to the sponsors and business leaders who contributed to the event. We look to expand and work with more sponsors in the coming years!

The credit belongs to those people who are actually in the arena…who know the great enthusiasms, the great devotions to a worthy cause; who at best, know the triumph of high achievement; and who, at worst, fail while daring greatly, so that their place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat.
